Article 17 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights postulates that everyone has the right to own property, whether it is alone or in common with others, and that no one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his or her property. In other words, the people have a right to acquire, possess and use property without injustice such being not only in personal property but also in lands and other forms of property.
